Hello Little Minstrels!

Summer and Fall classes are now available to enroll.  Looking forward to having you in class!  In the fall I will be offering two new classes in addition to the usual offerings.  Sing and Sign for children 6 months to 3 years.  The Sing and Sign class gives parents the tools and knowledge to communicate with their babies using American Sign Language through songs and play.  I will also be offering MONTHLY ABC Music and Me classes for children age 2-4 years.

Monthly Kindermusik Classes!

Now enrolling for monthly Kindermusik classes Mondays and Tuesdays!  Hope to see you there....

ABC Music & Me is a research-based language and early literacy program built around music. This class helps children ages 2 to 6 develop pre-literacy and language skills through a child’s favorite rituals: music and story time.

ABC Music & Me supports the early childhood standards and requirements for “high quality programs” as defined by the National Institute for Early Education. Plus for the older age group, this class aligns with pre-K national and state standards.

Our next class is called Up In the Sky! is for children ages 2-4 years old. The Up in the Sky! unit of ABC Music & Me uses clouds, birds, kites, and stars (among other things-- the sky's the limit!) to engage children in flights of fancy.  They will exercise their bodies and imaginations while exploring the learning focus: "I can move expressively.  I am practicing my fine-motor skills.

Little Minstrels to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Hi Everyone,

I am so pleased to offer two Kindermusik classes that will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!  100% of tuition for these classes will be donated to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training.  The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society helps so many people fighting these blood related cancers; they provide funds for research and development of medication and treatments, they provide hope and assistance to those affected by this disease, and so much more.   

 At the age of 6, I lost my sister to Leukemia (she was 8 years old at the time).  So many years ago, my life profoundly changed and ever since I have felt compelled to be a part of a solution.  I want so badly to make a difference in the lives of other families who struggle to beat this illness.  I was a member of Team in Training back in 2000-2002 and raised over $12,000 toward research and patient services.  I hope to be able to raise that much again, over the next few years.   By joining Team in Training, I feel like I can make a difference in someone's life and have some power to change the outcome of someone else's sister, daughter, son, brother who has been diagnosed with cancer.  I have committed to training to walk the Seattle Rock n Roll Marathon (26.2 miles) on June 23.  During the next few months, it is my goal to raise $1700 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

4 pm "Imagine That" class changed to Monday at 2:45

Hi Everyone,
The Imagine That class that was offered on Tuesday at 4 pm is being changed to Monday at 2:45 pm.  I will still be offering the Imagine That in the morning at 11:45.  There has been some request to have that class offered earlier possibly 10 am.  I am open to that change if the is enough interest.

Holiday and Winter/ Spring 2012 Schedule

Hello Everyone,

We are into the holiday season!  My favorite time of year, just a reminder that we do follow the Bellingham School District Calendar for closures and holidays.  We will have classes the week of Thanksgiving on Monday, November 21- Wednesday November 23.  Again, regular classes beginning  Monday, November 28th. after Thanksgiving.  In December we will not have classes December 18-January 1, beginning again on January 2, 2012.  This semester ends the week of January 9th. 

It is getting time to start planning for next Semester.  I would like to encourage anyone who is planning on moving up an age group, to visit that class this semester to get a feel for what comes next.  I will be offering all of the same classes at the same times next semester, with a few additions.  I will be adding an Imagine That class (age 3-5) on Tuesdays at 4 pm.  I am hoping this will be a good time for more folks to attend.  Keep an eye out in the Winter Leisure Guide for our ad. 

I want to offer a few ways to cut down on cost of tuition for classes:
Referral Discount $20- This is available for folks who refer a friend to a class who joins and pays full tuition.
Sibling Discount 10% off- This will apply to all siblings who are in the program.
Early Bird Discount 10% off- This will be given to folks who register and pay in full, one month in advance.

As always, I am open to barter opportunities as well as payment plans.  My main focus is making this musical experience open to as many children as possible!  Please contact me with questions.

FALL 2011 CLASS SCHEDULE Newly Up-dated!

Hello Everyone!

What a wonderful start to the semester, classes are sweet, fun and spunky!  I have a few changes to the original schedule that I want to make everyone aware of.  "Our Time" on Tuesdays and  "Imagine That", on Wednesdays are cancelled, just not enough people to fill the classes, thanks to those who came, hopefully we can make it work next time!!  We will try again next time to make times and days work for everyone!
